Fused Forged Fired
Found and finished today. I abandoned this piece years ago when it felt ponderous. Out of control.
I was not ready to wear it.
Black obsidian sorceress ring. The obsidian is from the Caucasus region of the Balkans. High quality, high silica volcanic glass. Neanderthals made tools of it.
Cradled in scraps (I save every piece of precious metal I can see) of sterling and argentium silver, banded with copper plate, hammered, edged and forged with argentium. Fused with fire in the Artist’s Dungeon. Gnarled, fierce, serpentine, magical and mine. My precious.
