One of my watercolor teachers advised against trying a painting more than once. Mostly I listened. This image was stuck in my head from a highway drive, just as the sun was setting beneath a raveling thunderstorm. Water puddles, brilliant light on the horizon and headlights oncoming. This is the closest I got. The same teacher said that at every gallery show, she wants to rip down her art and fix it. I get that.
